Screenwriter. Director. Videographer. Editor.

I was born in 1991, a few months before my country of birth, Yugoslavia, fell apart. I grew up in the Netherlands, where I soon found out about my fascination for storytelling. I decided to join the Art Academy St. Joost in Breda and took the opportunity to experiment through all kinds of media. I believe storytelling gives us different perspectives and views that can bring people closer to each other.

Film is not just a method to deliver a message, it is a way to connect people, to bring the world closer to you, to fascinate you, to incite you, to encourage you, to make you wonder and to make you think. My immigrant background plays a major role in the things I do and the stories I tell. It is this perspective, through the eyes of the outsider, that forms the establishment within my work and that inspires me to write fiction.

After graduating from the St. Joost academy in Breda, I earned my Master's Degree in Writing at the RITCS in Brussels. I fell in love with this city, the diversity of places, people, cultures and languages. Ever since I have been working as a freelance screenwriter and member of Het Grensoverschrijvend Collectief, working together with co-writers Amina Hatim and Nele Vandael.
